Welcome to the website for Josh Jurgens. My most recent position has been as Health and Safety supervisor for Hopper Construction undertaking projects worth over $35 million in the Wairarapa district.

I have over 20 years experience in earthmoving, Civil Construction and Demolition and have experience in roles that cover an extensive span of the Industry, from working on the tools to operating plant, supervising ,running jobs, Company and Project Management, and Health and Safety. I have also worked in IT.

I have been involved in and directly overseen many high risk and potentially dangerous tasks.

 Health and Safety is a subject I care very deeply about, in my view it is collaboration between all employees and a positive movement within the workforce.

 I have experience with Introducing H&S initiatives from scratch as well as working within and contributing to a well established H&S system, Auditing, Inductions, hazard management, Supervision, managing Site visitors and Sub-contractors, Emergency planning, Compiling reports, Site Specific Safety Plans, Incident Investigations ,Job methodology, Monitoring, Risk assessment, Safety meetings and more. 

 I consider that my background, training, experience and dedication to workplace health and Safety enables me to bring a great deal of expertise to the role.

 I am comfortable working with all levels of people within the industry and I am confident when working in high pressure positions, making decisions as required and enjoy a challenging role.
